The School of Communication provides educational opportunities to over 1,000 undergraduate majors, 200 undergraduate minors and 30 graduate students in addition to supporting active research programs in interpersonal communication, film, media, organizational communication and information technologies and telecommunications.

They are committed to the research and advanced study of the art and science of communication in a way that integrates theory and practice. In their scholarship and teaching they seek to promote a culture that values diverse perspectives and emphasizes the ethical implications of communication.
