Abstract

The proposed poster presentation will highlight the unique training experience of international students in counseling graduate programs. Most international students received their first degrees in their respective countries and many have worked in the field prior to coming to the United States to pursue their graduate studies. Despite their prior training and counseling experiences, these experiences may not translate well in the US educational setting and profoundly impacted their counseling self-efficacy.
