Abstract
This presentation will include a detailed review focusing on the role of psychology professionals in the upbringing of children in a bilingual atmosphere, especially focusing on children from immigrant families, cultural and ethnic minorities. The nature of care and the role of care from professional to help families with children with special needs and bilingual children in order to maximize the performance of such individuals and to reduce bias and prejudice that may exist. Additional recommendations for research and practice will be offered.
