Abstract
One hundred years ago, Alois Alzheimer M.D., presented the first clinically recognized case of Alzheimer's disease to a group of Psychiatrists at a convention in Germany. In the past century, researchers have studied this disease, and have yet to discover the underlying mechanism of action. The newest research focus is detecting Mild Cognitive Impairments (MCI), the earliest possible phase of Alzheimer's disease (AD), with better accuracy and consistency.
