Abstract
Irish immigration to the United States of America has been studied and surveyed by numerous creditable men and women over the years; yet the topic remains one of great interest and value to many people. And these interests are wide and varied in of themselves. What was happening in Ireland to influence its people to emigrate? Where did these newly arrived immigrants settle? Did they continue onto other places within the United States? What were their names? Who were these new citizens? These questions are just the beginning and can easily be examined more in depth by taking into account regional applications and various periods in history.
