Abstract

I chose Computer Science Theory and Analysis for my major because I wanted to make video games. Plain and simple. This paper will discuss the first video game I have ever made; Super Comrade Oriam. The paper will be split into four parts. Part One will consist of a history —why I wanted to make a video game and how I began conceptualizing my program. Part Two will continue with the steps of my development process - how I implemented a basic framework, what development environment I used, and how I ended up with a function, playable game. Part Three will summarize all the problems I encountered during development. Bugs, poor implementation, revisions, and inherent limitations of my program will be discussed. Part Four will focus on the future of my game. As this is something I have wanted to do for a very long time, I will not simply lay it to rest after I graduate. I'll outline what I have yet to accomplish in the program, how I want to distribute it, and what I hope the community reaction will be. I will end with a conclusion. Without further ado, I present Part One.
