Abstract
For my honors thesis I decided to produce and design the lighting for a dance concert that was based on collaboration. My original intention for the concert was as follows; "It will focus on the collaboration and influence of spoken text in the forms of poems, creative writings, and theatrical scripts on a dance as well as works of art and music that may inspire movement. I hope for all the works to be original and a result of the collaboration between the artists. The art and text that influences the dance will also be on public display during the concert in addition to live music. This concert is intended to create connections between the various forms of art that are usually not connected, the tangible and non-tangible."
