Abstract

In Shades of Rage I explore how inner turmoil is expressed in the body with out specifically stating, "I'm angry!" The intent in choreographing Shades of Rage includes displaying the passive aggressive tendencies within humanity through the perspective I know best; the feminine perspective. Through dance a choreographer can express ideals, thoughts, and feelings not generally accepted or glorified by the surrounding culture.
