Abstract
Two years ago I planned to write and illustrate a children's book about London for my honor's thesis. After researching, applying for grants and scholarships and setting up a committee for my thesis, I studied abroad in London for two months. During my stay in London I took two classes, traveled all over and gathered as much information about the city as possible. When I returned, I began to work with the storyline for this book. Also, I took more classes and continued my education. Finally, in the fall of 2004, I completed the text and illustration for my book, Welcome to London!, a children's travel guide to London.
