Abstract
Blind and visually handicapped people are often over looked when library services are organized for sighted patrons. Because,"the needs which reading can satisfy for the sighted reader are every bit as real for a blind reader"1, it is important that librarians are familiar with the various types and sources of materials for the visually handicapped and the blind.
