Abstract
Literary translation is indispensable in our multilingual, multicultural world. To limit a work's readership to speakers of a single language restricts severely the potential of the work and the education of speakers of other languages. Additionally, literature can be amazingly representative of a culture, an era, or a people. Translation is the process which makes these works available to a globally wider circle of readers.
