Abstract

Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding is an “environmental” theatre experience written by Artificial Intelligence comedy troupe. The show is an interactive, almost completely improvised, dinner-comedy where the audience members are treated as guests of the bride and groom and are encouraged to create their own outrageous characters. Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding was first staged at American Legion Hall in 1988 and has since spawned runs of the show in cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and LA.

I played the role of Madeline Monroe in the University Theatre’s production of Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding in March 2012. My character is invited to the wedding because she’s the girlfriend of the father of the groom. Her boyfriend, Tony Sr., is the owner of the strip club that she dances in.

The show had a sold out run from March 30th, 2012 to April 15th 2012 at Cityscape in Downtown Kalamazoo.
