Abstract

The Western Michigan University cheer and dance teams have been a part of the WMU athletic department for the past five years representing the spirit of the university at multitudes of athletic events as well as various community events. During these past five years as NCAA athletes, both the cheer and dance teams have grown in terms of membership, visibility, budget, and most importantly, talent. The cheer and dance teams have been recognized amongst their peers, colleagues, and fans as athletes of top caliber talent.
