Description
The Best Midwestern High School Writing: A Celebration and Recognition of Outstanding Prose is an initiative by the Lee Honors College and the Department of English at Western Michigan University—supported by the Third Coast Writing Project—to invite high school teachers from across disciplines to nominate students who have displayed exemplary writing for a prestigious public recognition and cash reward. There are a total of eighteen prizes available to the top three students in each of the three categories in two age groups. As an added incentive, nominating teachers of prize-winning students will receive a stipend to use for classroom resources.
