While the quest is a significant trope within the context of the medieval romance, it reflects a larger concern with the search for truth in all aspects of medieval culture. Such searching and exploration offer the opportunity to examine what is known as an impetus to discovery. This session consists of papers that focus on the means by which quests or questioning inform the medieval search for truth.
