Description
This session examines how Langland’s poem grapples with questions related to time, timeliness, and temporality. The panel is itself timely, given Carolyn Dinshaw’s recent treatment of time and multiple temporalities in How Soon is Now? (2012). Among the topics the poem’s engagement with a broad range of temporal modes and categories; history and historical time; narrative, allegorical, biblical, and liturgical time; and much else.
