Description

For several years now, a group of scholars led by Dr. Wayne Hellmann, O.F.M. Conv. (St. Louis University), has been working on the selection and translation of materials drawn from the Sentences Commentary of St. Bonaventure concerning the sacraments. Special attention - due to their prominence in medieval theology - has been given to the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist. This session proposes to lay out the fruit of these many years of careful labor, by examining the Seraphic Doctor's unique and integrated approach to sacramental theology.
