The three-hour (two-session) seminar led by Dr. Scott Gwara on identifying medieval book genres from fragments. The seminar is modeled after "Understanding the Medieval Book." Teaching Book of Hours fragments, the seminar introduces approaches to medieval book culture, including textual, literary, and artistic concerns. By using dismembered books, this seminar explores valuable but underappreciated collections and will include an exhibition in Waldo Library. Please plan to attend both sessions.
