Professor Jean-Luc Marion has worked extensively in Phenomenology, Patristics – especially Dionysius the Areopagite and Augustine – and the history of medieval and modern philosophy. His Watanabe Lecture, “The Meaning of the Icon in Nicholas of Cusa,” will extend his groundbreaking work on the icon, vision and revelation.
