Papers on How We Read Literature, specifically, 14th-15th c. Dante, Arthurian literature (Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Malory's Morte Darthur), and Piers Plowman. Focus is on children in Limbo, manuscript study, and costume. reading involves how the author/persona reads his sources, how the medieval reader would have read the poem in manuscript, and how characters in an allegory read other characters on the basis of how they're dressed.
