This sessions explores borders, boundaries, frontiers, and larger spatial issues as manifested in clerical literature of Iberia in the Middle Ages. It examines these matters in the clerical poetry of the 13th and 14th centuries (traditionally known as the "mester de clerecía" or the "cleric’s craft”), as well as later poetry that satirizes the clerical class.
