Abstract
Objectives: This project is Phase I of a two part study with the purpose of aiding Steelcase in reducing defects occurring in the sanding step of the wood manufacturing process. During Phase I, the team collected data and used the results to identify the greatest material and profit losses. The continuing goal of the study will be to address these issues to the greatest extent possible.
