Abstract
This piece explores the different views on love that Christopher Marlowe, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Emily Dickinson expressed in their poetry--"The Passionate Shepherd to His Love", "The Nymph's Reply to the Shepherd", and "I Cannot Live With You" respectively. It explores the deeper, hidden, meanings behind each of the poems and analyzes each thoroughly, line by line. Though this piece is directed towards an older audience who are able to analyze the poems, anyone who enjoys poetry would gain many new insights by reading this piece of literature.
