This session explores the theological exegesis of scripture in the Middle Ages. Papers will be given on the New Covenant in Aquinas' interpretation of Jeremiah, the pedagogy of parables in both Pearl's poetry and the Catena aurea, and the Glossa ordinaria on the connection between Christ and the doctrine of creation.
