Description

In this workshop, intended for musicologists and non-musicologists alike, we shall engage questions about the emotive dimensions of late-medieval song, with attention to the ways in which musical settings situate and instrumentalize the emotive powers of text, and also to the ways in which music in general, and song in particular, were fundamentally understood to be expressive.
