The goal of this roundtable is to give participants (both presenters and audience-members) the opportunity to consider the work of Joseph Conrad from their unique perspective as Chaucerians (or at least medievalists). This roundtable will directly address at least one of Chaucer's poems (the Franklin's Tale) and three of Conrad's novels: (The Preface to) The Nigger of the 'Narcissus,' Lord Jim, and (the epigraph to) The Rescue. The goal of this roundtable is to give participants (both presenters and audience-members) the opportunity to consider the work of Joseph Conrad from their unique perspective as Chaucerians (or at least medievalists).
