This panel will discuss the findings of a statewide study of medieval history survey courses in Texas Colleges and Universities. According to the presenter's research this study is the first of its kind in the state of Texas. It will present longitudinal data from the last five years concerning the structure, administration, pedagogy, curriculum, and offering of medieval survey courses in history departments. After the presentation, the presenter hopes to engage in a discussion with interested parties about developing a platform of best practices and the potential for this study to be duplicated in other states.
