CONGRESS CANCELED Rulership at Kalamazoo II: Representing and Remembering Medieval Monarchies

Medieval Institute, Western Michigan University

Description

This panel will address not only the Game of Thrones phenomenon, but more broadly other television and filmic portrayals of monarchs and rulership, as well as historical fiction, drama analysis, and how monarchs are remembered and represented in physical objects. Together, we hope these papers reveal how representations of rulership permeate and influence all ongoing royal research. Valerie Schutte
