Abstract

This article features a relief program from Catholic Extension known as “Sisters on the Frontlines.” The program is designed to give financial aid to nuns who provide ministry to marginalized populations in the United States. The article details how religious orders can access the fund in addition to the impact the fund has already had on nuns and the vulnerable populations they serve. The article features Catholic Extension Vice President Joe Boland, Project Manager Margaret Eigsti of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, Kathleen Mahoney of the GHR Foundation, and Sister Deborah Troillett of the Sisters of Mercy.
