Abstract
Generally, the bridge construction method selection is based on available funding, proposals from contractors or design-bid-build contracts, and also lack a concrete method to arrive at an informed decision. Thus, the State DOTs and contractor agencies require modification of their general decision-making process. A predefined decision-making model helps maintaining consistency in the decisions. A decision-making model/tool equipped with an informed mathematical model could deploy optimal decisions.
