Abstract
The ideas of Carl Kogers have proven to be both controversial and influential, fascinating and noteworthy, his work is especially significant for the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, education, communication and social science in general. He has presented his ideas clearly and thoroughly enough to evoke serious consideration from most psychologists and psychotherapists; his formulations provide a reference point against which others direct their concepts; research is accumulating to test empirically and experientially the validity of his self-theory. Rogers has made positive contributions to individuals aid humankind by .dealing with problems and situations that have real significance for the existential predicament of man. Many per sons are finding satisfaction in applying his suggestions in the con duct of therapy, education, and interpersonal relationships.
