Abstract
The purpose here is to consider some of the broad foundations of the free market model in Chile, and what effects it had on the politics of Chile during the Pinochet regime. We will also examine the influence of free market policies on Chilean politics, and the policies' intractability in the post-regime democracy Finally, a brief outlook for the future will be presented founded on these analyses.
