Western Michigan University encourages its faculty, staff and students to publish on assessment and the scholarship of teaching or learning (SOTL). Some of the work listed below has received University-wide recognition. The University Assessment Steering Committee gives out an Individual Assessment Excellence Award for research in student learning and work in assessment for program improvement, resulting in an article in a peer reviewed journal. Some of the articles shared here were past winners of the Individual Assessment Excellence Award.
