Abstract
Introduction
The new call for conservation of resources inherent in ecological movement has put a spotlight on the recycling of materials. Not the least of these materials are paper and paperboard on which some 58 million tons were used in the United States in the year 1969. About 40 million tons of this was discarded which resulted in a severe trash removal problem. Paper accounts for 35% of the total solid waste collected and disposed of in most municipalities.
