Abstract
In this round table, scenarios will be presented in which microaggressions occur in discussions specifically aimed at enhancing participants’ appreciation for diversity (e.g., classrooms, meetings, outreach programs). Attendees will explore their personal reactions, challenges, and possible courses of action in response to the scenarios. It is anticipated that attendees of the roundtable will come away with greater awareness, knowledge, and skills related to effectively addressing microaggressions when facilitating discussions related to diversity.
