Abstract
Approximately 12,000 new Spinal Cord Injuries occur in the United States every year (National SCI Statistical Center). That means there are mass amounts of people who are affected by spinal cord injuries every day. The purpose of this project is to give those suffering from SCI's and their families, friends, and caregivers a resource to refer to throughout the duration of the injury. Each spinal cord injury is unique and will affect the injured person in a different way. Therefore, this source will give an overview of the various terms and aspects associated with a spinal cord injury, but cannot possibly give insight into each person's specific struggles. Instead, it will aim at pointing the reader to various sources to answer their specific questions.
