Abstract
The purpose of this secondary data analysis was to examine individual and institutional factors associated with labor support behaviors of nurses who provide nursing care during labor and birth. The research questions that guided this study were: 1) Is there a relationship between labor support behaviors of nurses and their demographic characteristics? And2) Is there a relationship between labor support behaviors of nurses and characteristics of the birthing units in which they provide care?
