Abstract
Commercial construction firms build structures of varying size and diversity. These firms need a management style that can solve the personnel and construction problems that arise. The management triangle structure is the basic form most management is structured under, and is adequate for most industrial operations where products do not change dramatically. It is not adequate for construction because it cannot adapt to the product changes.
The systems concept adds the needed sophistication to the management triangle to train and administer personnel with more expertise and insight to solve construction problems. The management of construction is divided into three managerial areas: project definition, project administration, and construction management.
