Abstract
The age of information is upon us. Innovative technologies may help us integrate this change in what seems like every area of our lives. The healthcare industry is not an exception to the inevitable change or information processing. Information systems are now permanent fixtures in healthcare institutions, but the knowledge workers and information managers continue to be challenged to realize the full benefit from systems (Young, 1992).
