Abstract

Being pre-service teachers, we see a need for more thematic units in the classroom. Therefore, we have decided to focus the research for our thesis on developing our own thematic unit plan. To begin our process, we have looked through various academic articles and journals to gather information about how we can develop and use an inquiry-based thematic unit. Many of the sources we have looked at focus on similar topics that give credibility to using thematic units.
