Abstract
A perception exists that Japan's economy is no longer the dynamo it was 40 years ago. This research is intended to determine in what ways the Japanese economy has slowed down/stagnated and to identify some of the causes of its malaise. The emphasis is on how key macro aggregates have been changing over this period.
