Abstract
The idea for my honors thesis began after I returned from studying abroad the spring of my junior year. I came back to Kalamazoo, my hometown, and suddenly saw it through different eyes. I saw the city not only as a place to live and go to school, but as a place with many people, events, and activities to discover. I was soon to see that this new way of looking at Kalamazoo was going to lead me to learning about human subjects research, document design, and creating a useful guide.
