Abstract
Option contracts were first traded on organized exchanges in 1973 with a mere sixteen common stock options. Since then trading has grown so that today hundreds of options are traded on common stocks and other financial assets. With the great increase in the popularity of option contracts that has come about in the recent past, much time and energy has been devoted to testing the price efficiency of these instruments. One test is the put/call parity test.
