Abstract
When exploring the culture of another country, one of the most interesting facets to study is music. Music can show the religious and ethnic roots of a people by exploring the sorts of moods and rhythmic feelings that are typical in that culture. People can use music to express themselves; subject matter can paint the landscape of a composer*s native land, portray a country's national symbols and ideals, and help musicians to express the political and social conditions in which they find themselves involved.
