Abstract
Recent years have brought hard economic times for many, and the human service industry has proved to be no exception. Human service organizations may have been the first to feel the effects of economic regression and the state and federal cutbacks that, history has shown, are destined to follow. The purpose of this study is to gauge the effects of retrenchment and subsequent cutback strategies on human service organizations in Southwest Michigan.
