Abstract
Nervous system injuries and diseases are something that can easily affect posture, balance, and muscle coordination. Injury to the nervous system, such as brain trauma, stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple system atrophy, and multiple sclerosis might lead to cerebellar ataxia, which is frequently shown by disorderly movements. Physical therapists are often required to treat patients who are suffering from an array of ailments that cause problems with their balance, posture, and/or coordination. It is my goal is to further explore the causes of cerebellar ataxia as a result of genetics, brain trauma, stroke, cerebral palsy, and multiple system atrophy. In addition to providing insight, a treatment regimen for managing symptoms will be presented.
