Abstract

This paper explores (1) the set of units of Z_j[x] where j is square-free set of units of Z_j, and (2) the set of the units of Z_n[x] where n is not square-free and is a set of polynomials f(x) = a₀ + g(x) where a₀ is a unit in Z_n and g(x) is a nilpotent in Z_n[x] (i.e., f(x) = a₀ + a1x + ... + a_tx^t where a₀ is a unit and all the other coefficients are nilpotent in Z_n).
