Abstract
Autonomous vehicle features have been implemented in vehicles since the 1920’s and yet companies and the media have just started to portray how these features will revolutionize many different industries. Many individuals are under the assumption that autonomous vehicles will never actually be safe on the road. Although it may take some time to establish safety regulations, data has shown that autonomous vehicles will decrease the number of deaths and injuries due to human error. If a vehicle detects another vehicle or pedestrian, self-driving vehicles have automatic braking features that will stop the car without operator interference. When it comes to the ridesharing and trucking industries, people fear that millions of jobs would be eliminated. While some jobs may be lost, other job positions will become available and they will be much more appealing to individuals. This paper will address how autonomous vehicles are truly driving the future.
