Abstract
Food the Musical is a character study of two individuals, Josie and Asia, with strikingly different personalities. Though opposites, the two share one thing in common: their love of food. Their passion lies deep within them, and connects the two as they pursue their goals. Josie, brighteyed and bushy-tailed, dreams of becoming the next Food Network star. Asia, a type-A personality, dreams of having her artwork respected instead of laughed at. She carves nude sculptures into giant fruits and vegetables. Despite having a seemingly ridiculous artistic style, Asia takes herself very seriously and believes wholeheartedly that her work deserves to be respected. Follow the two on their journeys, and see how food connects them in more ways than one.
