Abstract
The college years are one of the most stressful times in a young adult's life. Surveys increasingly indicate that college students report high levels of psychological distress but low rates of treatment seeking. The purpose of the study is to examine whether a brief online mindfulness intervention is effective in reducing perceived stress among first year college students. The current study will aim to recruit approximately 150 students during the recruitment period. There are three measures being used, a pre and post background questionnaire, the Perceived Stress Scale, and the Five Facet Mindfulness questionnaire.
